Today was so much fun at enviro time.... First we had a talk about how we were going to raise some money for save the kiwi organisation. We decided that we were going to make some yummy food and drinks to sell to the rest of the school at morning tea next week. then we went to hall and some of us helped mrs Brattle and mr Sheehan make some yummy pikelets with jam and cream... They were so yum!!!!! some of us got fired from our jobs of spreading the jam and cream on because we sneezed though!!!! Luckily the people that replaced them made it safe for everyone!!!

Today we met in kea without the year 6s because they are away skiing. We decided to go for a walk in the bush with Mr Sheehan and Mrs Brattle!!! It was so much fun as the rest of the school aren't allowed in the bush till term 4. we tidied up the path, pulled weeds, cut branches and thought some cool things we want to do up there for the rest of the year

Today we had a talk to Mrs Olds about how she started making Plateau School a better place by starting Enviroschools with Mrs Sheppard. She said that at the start, she and the envirogroup kids and some parent helpers built the compost bins over by Ruru class. After that Mrs Olds said about how she made the lizard garden a better place by killing the weeds and everyone in 2009 planted a plant each over by the bottom of the bush. Then she talked to us about the stream next to the school about the wandering willie and how to clean it.
We also looked at the old books that the Envirogroup put together for the Bronze and Silver awards.
