Junior enviro 3/6/15

Today our junior enviro group met for our fortnightly meeting. We talked about how the birds during winter sometimes find it hard to find food to eat, SO we have made them some bird feeders. We used lard, peanut butter and bird seed. We stuck all these things onto a pine cone . We have hung some in the trees around School and some of us have taken ours home.

Thanks Tim for your help, we had a great time and the birds will now have full little tummys.

Enjoy your day.

Term 2 started with sunshine

First meeting of term 2 was a very busy one. We talked first about jobs and activities that we wanted at accomplish this term. The chickens and gardens were high on our list of things to do and learn more about. After we had a chat about these things we all got out into the sunshine and did some weeding. It turned into a bigger job than we thought so we will have to revisit it another day. The chickens enjoyed the weeds though, and we loved the sunshine and being together.
